SEASAVE V7, a Windows 2000/XP application, is an entirely new version of SEASAVE. After Beta testing for 1 year, SEASAVE V7 was officially released by Sea-Bird in March 2007. SEASAVE V7 acquires, converts, and displays real-time or archived raw data from SBE 9plus, 16 (older product), 16plus, 19 (older product), 19plus, 21, 25, 45, and 49 CTD systems. Improvements over the previous Windows versions include:
The instrument configuration file format (.con) is preserved from the New Style Configuration in the previous Windows version, so existing .con files can be used without modification. And, the archived data format is preserved from the previous Windows version, so existing .dat and .hex files can be played back without modification.
Online Help is available with SEASAVE V7.
If you discover reproducible bugs in SEASAVE V7, please document the steps taken to achieve them and send a report via e-mail to jrobinson@seabird.com or Fax 425-643-9954 to Julia Robinson. We welcome any suggestions for new features and enhancements.
Note:
The SEASOFT-Win32 software suite also includes the following Windows programs:
SEATERM -- terminal program that interfaces with most instruments, providing setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests.
SeatermAF -- terminal program that interfaces with instruments that include Auto Fire capability for autonomous operation of an SBE 32 Carousel Water Sampler (with an SBE 17plus V2 or AFM) or SBE 55 ECO Water Sampler, providing setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests.
Seaterm54 -- terminal program that interfaces with SBE 54 or PN 90588 Tsunameter.
SBE Data Processing -- data processing program that converts, edits, processes, and plots data.
Plot39 -- plotting program for data uploaded from the SBE 39 or 39-IM.
Also, see SEASOFT for Waves - Win32 -- for use with SBE 26, 26plus, or 53.
Note: SEASAVE V7 installs to a different location than earlier versions of SEASAVE, so you can install SEASAVE V7 without overwriting your existing software.
