ANNOUNCEMENT: Try out SEASAVE V7, an entirely new version of SEASAVE .
After Beta testing for 1 year, SEASAVE V7 was
officially released by Sea-Bird in March 2007. Sea-Bird will continue to supply
and support SEASAVE-Win32, but encourages all users to switch to SEASAVE V7. New
features and compatibility with new instruments will not be added to
SEASAVE-Win32.
SEASAVE, a WIN 95/98/NT/2000/XP application, is part of our SEASOFT-Win32 software suite. SEASAVE includes the functions from the SEACON and SEASAVE modules in SEASOFT-DOS:
The instrument configuration file format (.con) and the archived data format are preserved from the DOS version, so existing .con files can be used without modification.
Online Help is available with SEASAVE.
If you discover reproducible bugs in SEASAVE, please document the steps taken to achieve them and send a report via e-mail to jbackes@seabird.com or by FAX 425-643-9954 to John Backes. We welcome any suggestions for new features and enhancements.
Note:
The SEASOFT-Win32 software suite also includes the following Windows programs:
SEATERM -- terminal program that interfaces with most instruments, providing setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests.
SeatermAF -- terminal program that interfaces with instruments that include Auto Fire capability for autonomous operation of an SBE 32 Carousel Water Sampler (with an SBE 17plus V2 or AFM) or SBE 55 ECO Water Sampler, providing setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests.
Seaterm54 -- terminal program that interfaces with SBE 54 or PN 90588 Tsunameter.
SEASAVE
V7 -- data
acquisition program that acquires, converts, and displays real-time or
archived raw data.
Note: As of March 2007, SEASAVE V7 replaces SEASAVE-Win32.
SBE Data Processing -- data processing program that converts, edits, processes, and plots data.
Plot39 -- plotting program for data uploaded from the SBE 39 or 39-IM.
Also, see SEASOFT for Waves - Win32 -- for use with SBE 26, 26plus, or 53.
